RENATO MAGGIO AND FURADEIRA

Renato Maggio and Furadeira is an artistic and musical project with a powerful emotional and theatrical impact that combines Italian singer-songwriter music, the sophistication of jazz, expressive vocal performances, and a theatrical dimension.

The project was born from the meeting of performer Renato Maggio’s vision and the spirit of the duo Furadeira, consisting of Valeria Esposito (vocalist) and jazz guitarist Andrea Marcocchi. The group presents an exceptionally diverse and captivating repertoire. Their performances range from classic original compositions to acoustic and elegant interpretations of pop, rock, and international hits.

Renato Maggio is a performer who has been honored with an award from the President of the Italian Republic and has twenty years of professional experience in the music and entertainment industry. He works as a teacher of modern singing and is a specialist in music pedagogy, accredited by the prestigious “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in Naples. He is also the founder of the Musicapnea singing school and works actively as a vocal coach in a recording studio.

As a composer, performer, and producer of various musical projects, he is a profound and multifaceted interpreter of both traditional and contemporary works. His name is associated with the hosting and artistic direction of major national events and charity events, including initiatives for Telethon, Donare è Vita, and the Mezzanotte nei Parchi festival, as well as with the organization and artistic direction of festivals, music talent shows, and public and private events in the entertainment industry.

Valeria Esposito is an eclectic artist, singer, and actress of Neapolitan descent, as well as the group’s lead vocalist and charismatic presence. She has extensive stage experience as a leading actress in numerous theatrical productions directed by directors and playwrights such as Antonio Mocola, Gianluca Bosco, and Maurizio Capuano. She has also appeared in short films and commercials, as well as in dubbing projects.

Her musical career is supported by comprehensive artistic training, including acting (in Italian and English), dance, and singing.

Andrea Markochi is the harmonious soul of the group and a co-founder of the duo Furadeira. He graduated with a grade of 110/110, summa cum laude, in the “Jazz Guitar” program at the “Nicola Sala” Conservatory in Benevento; his thesis was dedicated to the renowned American guitarist Kenny Burrell. He subsequently continued his studies in the field of jazz composition.

Despite his young age, he has extensive experience performing live and in recording studios with renowned figures from the jazz, Italian, and international music scenes, including Sarah Jane Morris, Fabrizio Bosso, Elisabetta Serio (Pino Daniele’s longtime pianist), and Luca Aquino.

In 2024, he embarked on a two-month international tour of China with the Bb OrKestra under the direction of Maestro Umberto Aucone, performing in over 30 concerts in theaters and major concert halls with a repertoire ranging from jazz and film music to dance music.

The musical repertoire of Renato Maggio and Furadeira is perfectly suited to a wide range of high-end stage and entertainment events. Thanks to the two vocalists—a male and a female—and the exceptional instrumental backing, the band transitions seamlessly from the intimate atmosphere of original jazz and Neapolitan/Italian songs to the energy of pop and rock compositions.
