Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia

The Italian Cultural Institutes are the cultural services of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs operating abroad.
In Italy, they are managed by the Directorate-General for the Promotion of the “System Italia” (D.G.S.P.).

The main function of the cultural institutes, as defined by law, is the dissemination of the Italian language and culture beyond the borders of the country, for the purpose of mutual knowledge and cultural cooperation between peoples, within the framework of the relations and links that Italy maintains with other countries.

The Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia was established in 1950 as the cultural department of the Embassy of Italy.

CONFINDUSTRIA BULGARIA

Established in April 2000 under the name of the Consultative Committee of Italian Entrepreneurship in Bulgaria with the aim of promoting economic cooperation between Italy and Bulgaria, acting as a representative of Italian enterprises in Bulgaria and supporting the activities of its members.

Currently, Confindustria Bulgaria includes nearly 250 companies.
Since 25 March 2010.
The Association is an Associate Member of Confindustria.
With the change in the Statute from May 2016.
The Association officially became the International Representation of Confindustria.

CONFINDUSTRY BULGARIA reports entrepreneurial activity totalling €2 billion in direct investment, sales of BGN 1.75 billion and over 30,000 jobs.

As a point of reference for Italian entrepreneurship in Bulgaria, the Association offers its members real support in their activities (providing contacts and partnerships, bookings, contracts, assistance to Bulgarian institutions, also provides contacts with Italian enterprises and enterprises and institutions in the Balkans).
An Italian-language newsletter concerning Bulgaria is produced and meetings and seminars are organised to discuss important topics concerning the Bulgarian economy.

Embassy of Italy in Bulgaria

The Italian Embassy in Bulgaria has played an important role in the development of bilateral relations between Italy and Bulgaria by promoting the exchange of cultural, economic and political initiatives.
The Embassy provides advice and consular assistance to Italian citizens who are in Bulgaria, supporting them with visa issues, legal matters and business advice.
In addition, the Embassy actively organises cultural events such as exhibitions, concerts and film screenings, which promote Italian culture and traditions among the Bulgarian public and help to develop cultural exchanges between the two countries.
