Marco Larker is a researcher who has dealt with a variety of topics throughout his career.
A constant element in his professional experience is his passion for knowledge, for discovering new horizons and modelling physical phenomena.
He graduated and defended his PhD in Physics at the University of Trento.
During his studies he spent a period abroad at Imperial College London on the Erasmus programme.
He works in the field of Nearly Zero Energy Building/Passivhaus design as an energy consultant, trainer and certifier.
Since 2017 he has been working as a Senior Researcher at the Eurac Research Renewable Energy Institute, where he is part of the Historic Building Energy Renovation Group.
His main research topic is hygrothermal analysis of buildings to prevent moisture-related damage and to optimize the quality of the indoor environment.
He is involved in numerical simulations, building monitoring, and laboratory analysis.
He is responsible for the Hygrothermal Testing Laboratory, a laboratory for hygrothermal characterization of building materials, and is actively involved in the quality management system as the laboratory’s quality reference.
