In 2008 he defended his PhD in “Preservation and History of Architecture”.
He is currently Director of ASSORESTAURO, managing international restoration projects in Turkey, Russia and the Centre for Restoration and Design ReDi in L’Habana, Cuba.
It also organized the Russian-Italian School of Restoration, a partnership between the Assorestauro, the University of La Sapienza in Rome and the Russian Center for Scientific Restoration and the National Museum of Architecture in Moscow.
He is the author of several articles and monographs in specialized journals and books and directs the publication of a journal QA, the official publication of Assorestauro.
